We are excited to share that Ruchi M. Watson, CEO and Managing Director of the Goff Strategic Leadership Institute at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, has been named one of Utah Business’ Most Influential Women of 2025.
This recognition celebrates Ruchi’s visionary leadership and her work building an environment where students and professionals learn to lead with purpose and create meaningful impact across Utah and beyond.
Under Ruchi’s guidance, the Goff Institute has become the University’s flagship institute for experiential, strategic leadership education and applied strategy.
Nearly 5,000 professionals and students from 80 majors and 13 colleges have engaged with Goff Institute programs. Through partnerships with more than 300 organizations ranging from grassroots nonprofits to statewide agencies and Fortune 500 companies, students gain hands-on experience solving real challenges and contributing to their communities.
Ruchi’s influence is rooted in her ability to equip the next generation of leaders to think critically, act boldly, and lead with purpose. In a world where change and complexity are constant, she prepares students and professionals alike to challenge assumptions, embrace thoughtful experimentation, and deliver meaningful results. The ripple effects of this work reach far beyond classrooms and boardrooms—strengthening communities and organizations across Utah and beyond.
At the heart of Ruchi’s leadership philosophy is the belief that leadership and strategy are not reserved for corner offices—they live in everyday decisions, conversations, and moments of reflection. She creates the space for people to pause, engage with intention, and approach strategy as a daily practice. This mindset is woven throughout the Goff Strategic Leadership Institute’s programs, giving thousands of leaders the clarity, confidence, and curiosity to navigate complexity and create value. Ruchi’s recognition as one of Utah Business’ Most Influential Women reflects not only her own leadership, but also the growing reach and impact of Goff—and the future she is building for leaders at every stage.
“I’m honored to be in the company of leaders whose impact reaches far and wide. This recognition is not just about individual achievement, but about the shared commitment we have to shaping a stronger future for Utah and beyond.”
We are proud to celebrate Ruchi’s recognition as one of Utah’s Most Influential Women and the future she is shaping for the next generation of leaders.
