Greg Goff
Founder
Greg Goff is a native of Park City and holds both a bachelor’s and MBA from the University of Utah. He went to work for ConocoPhillips in 1981 and filled numerous positions before being named senior vice president in 2008. He joined Andeavor, formerly known as Tesoro, as president and Chief Executive Officer in May 2010 where he went on to lead its merger with Marathon Petroleum Corporation in 2019. He partnered with the David Eccles School of Business to create opportunities for young people to develop strategic leadership skills.

Managing Director and CEO, Goff Strategic Leadership Institute, Professor (Lecturer)
Ruchi brings broad cross-sector experience to Goff, having held roles in corporate strategy and marketing at Target, consulting at Bain & Company, and engineering at General Mills. At Goff, she leads bold, immersive programs that help students and professionals develop the mindset and tools to think strategically and drive meaningful impact. Her work has been published in Harvard Business Review, and she was named one of Utah Business magazine’s “30 Women to Watch.”
Todd Zenger, PhD
N. Eldon Tanner Chair in Strategy and Strategic Leadership, Presidential Professor, Editor in Chief, Strategy Science
Zenger is the Entrepreneurship & Strategy Department Chair and the N. Eldon Tanner Chair in Strategy and Strategic Leadership at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He also holds the University of Utah designation as a Presidential Professor. Zenger is a global expert in corporate strategy, organizational design and pay transparency. He is our Academic Director and leads the research and thought leadership arm of the Goff Strategic Leadership Institute.
Stephanie Baugh, MA
Associate Director of Analytics and Engagement
Stephanie’s belief in the power of education fuels her passion for facilitating opportunities that transform lives and create value for all involved. She thrives on running and refining programs to ensure high-quality, personalized, and impactful experiences. With a commitment to care and community, she loves empowering students to build confidence and unlock their potential. Stephanie fuels her curiosity and competitive spirit by playing volleyball, hiking, and traveling.
Maya Jolley, MPA
Director of Student Experience and Marketing + Communications, Goff Strategic Leadership Institute
Dedicated to problem finding, value creation, and mentorship, Maya Jolley’s specialties are turning new, exciting ideas into realities. After receiving her Master’s in Public Administration, Maya joined the Goff Strategic Leadership Institute where she directs student experiences and marketing strategy, empowering students to become value creators through experiential education. Recently recognized as one of Utah Business Magazine’s 40 under 40, Maya exemplifies the forward-thinking leadership that drives innovation and impact across the University of Utah and beyond. Outside of work, Maya enjoys cruising down to southern Utah with her husband and not-so-little puppy in their ’99 4Runner.
Diego Alvarez
Student Director, Student Engagement
Diego is in his Senior year at the University of Utah, majoring in marketing with a minor in Information Systems. He began his Goff journey with Explorers, where he was interned with PBS Utah. From there, he has joined several Goff programs, including the ambassador program, Pathfinders, Trailblazers, and now Scholars! As Director of Student Engagement, Diego will be leading the Goff Pathfinders program for the fall semester and assisting in creating experiential opportunities outside of the classroom. Outside of Goff, he is the President of the American Marketing Association and Vice President for the Student Alumni Board. He is looking forward to an exciting senior year where he can give back and elevate the amazing organizations he is a part of. Diego is also a big food and movie guys, and has an array of restaurant and movie recommendations on standby!
Michael Drollinger
Student Director, Outreach and Research
Michael is in his fourth year at the University of Utah, studying Accounting. He began his involvement with Goff in the summer of 2024 with the Explorers program where he was interned with the Washington Urban Debate League. Since then, he has continued his journey with Goff as an Ambassador, Trailblazer, and the Student Director of Outreach and Research. His role involves working with other campus organizations, speaking with student groups, and exploring new pathways for expanding Goff. Outside of school, he enjoys playing poker, reading novels, and drawing.
Creed McCord
Goff Student Associate
Creed is in their final semester here at the University of Utah studying mechanical engineering with a minor in leadership. He first learned of the Goff center through his leadership courses and registered for Trailblazers in the Fall of 2022. Since then, he has been an active member of the Goff Ambassadors program by working to spread the name and value of Goff with a focus on the College of Engineering. His role as a new member of the team will be to strategically identify and pursue opportunities to integrate Goff courses within various college curriculums across campus. Outside of his involvement with the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, he has: worked as a researcher for the University’ Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, become a student energy consultant with the Intermountain Industrial Assessment Center, lead the Utah Student Robotics mechanical team, and act as President of the Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee. His hope is to make the world a better place for people, and he is excited about how his work with the Goff center will contribute to that goal.
Josie Renick
Student Director, Internal Operations and Traditions
Josie Renick is a senior studying Operations and Supply Chain with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She was first introduced to Goff as a freshman Business Scholar, which led her to join the Pathfinders sophomore cohort. Since then, Josie has immersed herself in a variety of Goff programs including Explorers where she interned with the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO), Trailblazers where she worked with The Other Side Village, and now the Scholars cohort for the 2025–26 school year. Beyond the classroom, Josie has been involved as a Pathfinders mentor, ambassador, and TA for Explorers. As a member of the student staff team, she leads the ambassador program and focuses on building connections across the Goff family! Outside of Goff, Josie is involved in ASUU and Greek Life, and enjoys snowboarding, playing pickleball, and binge-watching the latest Netflix shows in her free time.
Matthew Timpa
Associate Student Director, Goff Engagement
Originally from Las Vegas, Matthew is a third-year Finance student at the University of Utah, pursuing an emphasis in Advanced Financial Analysis. He began his involvement with the Goff Strategic Leadership Center through the Explorers program, where he interned with Wasteless Solutions. Since then, he has served as a Goff ambassador, completed the Trailblazers program, and is now a member of the Scholars cohort. In his current role, Matthew focuses on developing engagement strategies and fostering a stronger sense of community across Goff’s programs. Beyond Goff, Matthew has worked as a journalist for The Daily Utah Chronicle and as a team leader at the MBC Marketing Agency. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, climbing, and exploring fashion.
Zak Vigil
Associate Student Director, Cross-Campus Engagement
Zak is from South Jordan, Utah, and is currently entering his third year at the University of Utah, studying Accounting and Finance with an emphasis on Fintech. He began his involvement with Goff as an Explorer in the Summer of 2024. Since then, Zak has continued his participation as an ambassador and Goff Trailblazer, and he is now the Associate Director of Cross Campus Events, collaborating with organizations across campus to enhance engagement and retention for their programs. Outside of Goff, Zak serves as the Executive Associate Director of the Union Programming Council and as a Resident Advisor. In his free time, Zak enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, reading, and attending concerts.
